The Personal Project is an International Baccalaureate requirement for students going into Grade 10. It is a year long project where the student chooses a subject they are passionate about and, creates and completes a project on it. The project needs to have research completed and a final product presented. 

 

The project I chose to complete was on fashion design and specifically sewing. I wanted to make a collection of six garments. The collection is    incohesive because each piece is inspired by a famous look off the show Project Runway. Each piece is inspired from a different designer and challenge from the show. The designers I chose were: Christian Siriano, Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung Chee, Anthony Williams, Sonny Fong, and Joshua Mckinley. For each of my garments. I used the colour, garment type, fabric and print as inspiration. This exhibition includes six dresses made from scratch using jersey, cotton, tule and wool.
